Another major PS4 update has been announced by Sony only in beta (no release date yet)
The update brings some notable improvements, External HDD support and custom wallpapers among other things, including 3D Blu Ray support for PSVR

Another major improvement will come in the form of something called boost mode, those of you using the PS4 pro, will be able to enable this mode to improve gameplay for PS4 games without a PS4 pro specific patch.

What use would an external HDd be?
Can you store games on it?

My comment regarding cost is more to the fact i live in a place where electrics cost 3-4 times more than europe/us
But yeh also the new stuff certainly aint cheap either

Yes baz an external drive will allow more storage and survived on baked beans for 6 months ( I don't know how my marriage survived) just to afford a PSVR just to keep you lot informed.

As Simon says, as long as it's USB 3, you are good to go.
