Sorry

To all LEEDS fans I know where you are coming from with all that hatred for master bates I could not agree with you more. I have been a season ticket holder for many years and this is to include this season so yes I will go to every home game. But as for next season no never it’s my last one I could not justify spending any more of my very hard earned cash. I do feel for SG and i personal think that if he was at a different club and his hands where not tied could do a very good job
When I think of all the money that has been generated over the last few years and how much has been spent on players it proper dose my head in all I can see is fewer and fewer people going down to Elland Road but when the good times return will we get the fans back into the ground this could be a very hard task and I think we should push on with the Master Bates out campaign and make him go now. No I don’t know how this could be done I don’t have the answers but I am very worried about the state of our club there is one very big plus Master Bates is knocking on and one day not too far down the line he will be dead at his age he cannot have long left and if he did after a few year he will not have the stomach for a fight with the mighty LEEDS fans

MOT .... i don't think what you put was particularly bad ... you're just stating the obvious !!!

The guy is getting on a bit, and it's a fact that he'll more than likely leave this world in a few years. I don't particularly wish that upon him, because of how he runs our club - definitely not. but it's a valid point.

Just for arguments sake, lets say he did pop his clogs in the next few months. Who would take over?

Anyway it's footie, so i'd not wish it on anyone. Just think your original post needed defending. I didn't think it was particularly malicious, just stating a fact.

You might want to work on your tact though ......

MOT - No need to delete it - you have your point of view. But if you've really had second and better thoughts, then why not edit it?

MOT,

Read ya post and agree with l11dsu4ever (who should get an easier name to type, lol.)

You only stated what would likely happen, you didn't state you wished him dead

People can, and do misinterpret other peoples statements, which eventually give birth to the "taken out of context" saying.

Bates wouldn't be to far away from kicking bucket, but knowing our bad luck, he may go on to live to the ripe old age of 105.

MOT don't worry about Rob none of the rest of us do, especially those of us with kids who have seen his sort of attention seeking behaviour from our 3 year olds.

Us normal Leeds fans got what you meant.

Many people have filtered him so we don't have to read what he posts. It's almost like putting him on the ja606 naughty step.

It's quite clear from what Yoko says, despite the vain wrigglings of the Jonty ilk, that there are a lot of people who do feel it's OK to wish the old devil dead, whether they're associated with Leeds or not. I suspect that the right-minded majority abhor this sort of malice and spite.

Yoko's spot on though when he says I don't comment about team formations - but then I'm not so far up myself as to believe that my amateur observations are worth recycling, I prefer, as I've previously made clear, to leave that sort of thing to the professionals, and thereby avoid making a fool of myself as so many on here do so regularly. I've first hand knowledge of just how funny the pros find this, and the guilty parties would surely squirm if they knew in what contempt they're held by those in the know

There are several contributors to the board who manage to discuss football generally and Leeds United in particular without coming across as half-baked ersatz tactical "experts". My comments are aimed at the other sort of contributor.
