Unethical Hair

Yes, apparently this is actually a thing

Former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan is among more than 40 players to have been found guilty of having "unethical hair" under United Arab Emirates Football Association guidelines.

The 31-year-old Ghanaian is on loan at Dubai-based Arabian Gulf League side Al Ahli from Shanghai SIPG.

In 2012, Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah was told to cut his "un-Islamic" hair by the referee before playing for his club side Al Shabab.

The Saudi rule bans mohawk-style cuts.

The UAEFA sends a player's club a warning letter in the first instance, with punishments escalating to a fine and then a suspension if he does not comply.

Gyan is one of 46 players at the warning letter stage.

According to Middle Eastern football website Ahdaaf, Al Wahda's Suhail Al-Mansoori (pictured below) was told to cut his hair while UAE international and 2016 Asian footballer of the year Omar Abdulrahman, who sports a similar style and also plays in the Arabian Gulf League, was let off.

Where is RDD gone?

Off to the pub for a pint and a roast followed bya spot of tea and an English Muffin???
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well beer is thought to be Iraqi originally, the Turks were roasting the aurochs that would eventually become the farmed cattle of Britain before the times of the Romans, tea the rest of the world nicked from China, and 'English muffins' were invented in America (by an Englishman - can we claim that one?).

If he's any kind of Briton, he'll be back in his bog eating roots, praying to Arawn or Cernnunos that they keep the Beaker Folk, Celts, Romans, Dál Riatan, Vikings, Normans, Sinti, Roma, and Huguenots at bay.

And let’s not forget pubs can be traced back to Roman taverns.

Kneerash - you asked for examples of changing culture.

How many on here do tou reckon go to church om a sunday before enjoying a roast beef dinner before heading down the pub for a few pints ?

Do you disagree we have closed off communities?

Dunno why he was banned though, it was entertaining following the debate and wasn't getting too heated

Has he been banned?

No need to ban him, the constant ridicule is a better punishment

At end of the day he was a bit ignorant, naive. Instead of raising possibly valid points about any clashes of culture in modern Britain he just thought the natural evolution of arbitrary things like food tastes and going to the pub were a sign of British culture being eroded.

He's right, he's not racist, just a bit naive if anything. Silencing him (banning him) won't help his ignorance, debating with him to make him see other views was perfectly alright, as I said wasn't really much actual name calling on either side, civil. Bit trigger happy, but I'll be quiet now as I want to keep account up jk admin but hope you see my point x

His mum will appreciate the opportunity to ventilate the bedroom, change the bedsheets and clear up the mess. He'll be back.
