I remember watching him being instrumental in the destruction of our U-21s in the European Chapionships final for the young German side who'd go on to dominate at senior level. He's a hugely gifted player but clearly isn't at his best in this league. Not just that as I don't think he's fulfilled his potential, Madrid accepted a healthy fee but not out of this world, even in Spanish football they deemed it acceptable.

hes a total passenger and arsenal are not good enough to play with a passenger.

I'm not entirely comfortable with the idea of a German given so much freedom at any sort of Arsenal.

That phrase gets banded about like it's absolute, he's been below the bar he set himself for a similar duration he put in performances which set that bar, and during his peak years.

Ronny Van Banterous - It's only me!! (U5996) , Say what you want about him, by I've always been a fan of him.

He's not a WUM I'd want at Arsenal but that doesn't mean I don't rate him as a WUM...
