Young, Rojo, Fellaini and Lingard.
Take a bow boys.
The first three I've slated time and time again but they were unreal today.
Young: What a performance from the lad. Not a huge fan of his but always comes in and does alright.
Rojo: Would have been the first person out of the door for me last season but he's looking more and more like he can be a starting cb for us. Him and Bailly are two no nonsense players willing to die for the cause. For the love of god don't play him at LB though.
Fellaini: Still don't think you're a United player but more than happy to have you as an option from the bench. He obviously cares and gives his all in training otherwise he wouldn't keep getting started. Possibly his best game for us and he has world class chest control.
Lingard: Always thought he's a great squad option. Lacks in many areas but always puts in a hard shift. Today he was non stop putting pressure on their defence. Hope he's proved to a lot of people that he can be a decent squad option from now on.

They're not the best we have thought SJ. And you answered your own query in the last sentence.

All four need selling.
It's absolute ludicrous how one good result seems to be enough evidence for people when we have seasons worth as a counter argument.

Rojo is much more effective as a CB than LB, that part is clear as day. The encouraging motivation that stems off Mourinho is a blessing for 'weaker' players like Rojo. Him and Bailly - another quality CB, actually our best CB are forming an effective and reliable CB pairing. But i still feel we need to strengthen with another reliable CB. We need to sell one of the sick notes to make room though.

As good as they were today, there is no chance in hell we will ever challenge for the title if these guys are the best we have.
All great squad players though.
Out of the four, I'd personally only sell Young and that's only because he is on a huge wage and is getting on now

I agree with you in a sense. However, you need to supplement these somewhat average (in Fellaini's case, awful) footballers with world beaters.
I like Lingard but is he a 100 grand a week footballer when Kane et al aren't? Is Fellaini worth another contract etc...

He hasn't. He had a good couple of months but lately has reverted to being the sub par player he is.

Rojo has been brilliant such an underrated player he's had the most apperences in defence of a team that's undefeated in whatever it is now (23 games?). If he was English the press would be all over him with praise.

lets not get carried away with a good result.
I know its great to be able to celebrate a good win. Hell I might even be able watch MOTD for this fist time since Christmas without grimacing... but lets not paper over the cracks.
Ashley Young is still... Ashley Young
Rojo though has ben a revelation this season, no doubt
Lingard is still very wasteful...a handy squad player but a joke of a 100K a week footballer
Pogba...a waste of space so far
Herrera... if he is going to play regular... make his el capitain, Jose.

Making Young captain sends a big message out there: work hard, keep your mouth shut, pay attention, and the rewards will come. Jose does not wanted spoiled and lazy players, regardless of their level of talent. I get that now. As long as our results improve I think it's a great idea, and I reckon that mentality will spread.

This.
Also, I would call that a decent effort rather than an "unreal" performance. Frankly, that performance level is the minimum I'd expect from our players. I mean...did any of those players actually do anything special?
