What makes a big club?

What in your opinion makes a club big, or bigger than others?

Is there REALLY any more to it than just how much the top players want to sign for a club?

It has to be a number of things.

Trophies won

Fan base, if you like current and historical, which would have to be measured by historical attendance

Value

Income

Etc

THEN, it needs to be measured against other clubs in all criteria, those that make the top ten in all criteria i believe can be regarded as big clubs.

The personal perspective rules this argument irrelevant.

My mate thai Si was raised in a Burnley family went since he was a boy he's raising his kids the same he's taking them to games.

That's something to be proud of, a family tradition actually getting to the match from a young age growing with a club rather than just adopting one because of success like a lot of modern fans.

You support the club you love it's your passion other wise it's hollow and just a popularity contest.

My opinion only, my family were reds they didn't go to games during the early 80's late 70's for whatever reason, I ended going with my mate and his dad to Maine road, I was hooked, it's the experiences the sounds smells "woodbines bitter and pizz mainly back in the 80's" the terracing the rush to the front when a goal was scored.

What's going to be bigger or better than that, be it Burnley united city Everton qpr.

Any fan of those clubs who have grown up being part of it will say my clubs the biggest.

You want to sit quoting money or shirt sales or overseas fans whatever you just don't get it.

Very true, it doesn't matter how big someone thinks your club is, i have always thought my club is the best in the world, even when we were fighting to avoid relegation to division 3

That team who have sky blue seats can't be considered a big club, because they have lots of empty sky blue seats for home games.

Obviously. We are one of the worlds biggest clubs. The team that has empty sky blue seats are not.
