Patrick Cryne definitely needs to get out of the club for his own health. The last thing he needs now is to be running a football club.
As for new Chinese owners, I'm sceptical. Not worked for Wolves and Birmingham. And they seem to want success now, which rarely works.
If they invest on the playing side, while keeping the players we have now, whilst leaving Hecky to continue doing a brilliant job, then that will be fine.
So the rumours about a Chinese takeover.

Town fan here but a lot of love for Barnsley, my gf + her family are all Tykes. Really hope you don't go down this route and instead sell to another local wealthy fan. You've done absolutely incredibly in your first season back in the championship and are in a great place to keep progressing. Oakwell needs a revamp IMO though, been to a few games this year + sat in the home end (stand opposite the dugouts + close to your away section) and the outside of the ground is very dated.
The potential is their to be a premier league club, like their is at Town and although I think we're a bit further along the path at the moment, our development in the last decade has been down to the owner we have not chasing the short term validation.
Will be keeping my fingers crossed that if your owner does decide to sell for health reasons, he sells to someone who's got the Barnsley's best interests at heart.

Ok saying that but we've been for sale for years. Not many want to buy a football club in a former mining town in the north.
On the west stand. It's listed and nothing much can be done. A lot of fans like the character of the stand, that sets it aside from soulless new grounds.

Where did you hear about this takeover Snapski?
One of my mates mentioned this to me on Saturday but I thought it was just a wind up.
He had just passed me a copy of When Saturday Comes magazine with an article on the number of clubs that were in trouble due to foreign investors and the major failings of the fit and proper ownership tests by the football league.

Seen that this was mentioned after Saturdays Match, more people were concerned with what Dickie Bird was wearing though
