Has AJ answered the critics?

One of the accusations against him has been that he has not fought any decent fighters and has not been put under pressure. Last night he did both, although some would say Wlad is past it at 41. He didnt have everything his own way and was put on the floor, but managed to come back, do enough to give himself time to recover and go on to win (obviously).

So do you think he has answered two of the biggest criticisms that people have thrown at him?

I would say yes, although I have always felt that he is still learning. In his 19th fight he has KO'd an all time great in the later stages of his career with 50 more fights than AJ and AJ has been put under the most pressure I have seen him under. At the end of the day he can only beat the fighters in front of him and he has shown he has more than just a lot of power. 19 KO's in 19 fights and a 2 belt world champion doesnt happen if you are a poor fighter.

What more can he do? Wilder is the only answer that comes to mind.

the thing is though his persona has worked for him, he's pretty much sold out arenas since his debut so probably doesn't feel the need to, and also as a eddie hearn fighter the more talk from the fighter means less airtime for him so that a no no

AJ is legit. He was outboxed by Wlad, but he waited for opportunities and had the fitness to go all 12 rounds and finally get an opportunity.

He hits super hard, and I think he'll KO Fury for sure.

Wilder and Cuban Kong are the two other opponents that might give him more trouble, so hopefully those fights will be made.

He's already one of the top draw boxers in the business, so he's going to be hella rich soon.

What most impessed me was how AJ seemed to learn during the fight, he was knocked down with a great right hand from Klit but got back up and managed his way through the next few rounds to then come out blazing in the 11th, that's very impressive.

He did catch Klit at a good time in his career but even at 41 and 18 months out of the ring Klit was head and shoulders above anyone who he had fought before.
