Ajax team cost = 17m to assemble.
Man Utd squad = 628m
This will be a HUGE failure for Jose if we do not win this. The odds are overwhelmingly stacked in our favour. So let's not play negatively, let's get at them. Sitting back defensively in a 6 man back line is not befitting mr morinhio.

What excuses others make with regard to our position and form this season are another matter. They don't effect my position on the team.

So because we spent more on Rooney over a decade ago than Ajax have on their current side does that also mean that Rooney should be able to beat them on his own? Also Rooneys value has any relevance to how well Jose (or any manager) should he doing with him irrelevant of how good he is any more?

Boring. Been done come up with new material .

The irony must be lost on you.

Touché.
The point I made is still valid (as other posters such as redmistry have touched upon), just look at the team sheets.

I don't think it is, though, as the players on the team sheet are playing crap, and have been for a while. I don't see how that makes us overwhelming favourites against anyone when we struggle to score and win games comfortably, no matter the opposition.

Darren, I get what your saying, nothing is black and white, to sn extent we are both correct, meeting somewhere in the middle. We are still definately favourites though.,

I agree we are favourites.

Anyone who has watched our last half a dozen games will not make us favorites for anything other than producing dire football.
