I genuinely can't think of a more important game for United in recent years.
I don't mean in terms of prestige - the league in 2013 and the CL cup run in 2011 was 'bigger' but in terms of what is at stake with this game it is massive for us
We need CL football and how Jose is judged will in large part be down to the result on Wednesday. Getting CL football from winning this might be the catalyst for bigger leaps in the next couple of seasons. Losing the game will put us back at square one and while I'm sure we'll eventually be okay, the quantum leap we can get from winning on Weds will be massive in the short term.
I can't remember the last time I was this nervous about a game. Even in 2011 I wasn't so nervous because at least in my mind, winning the CL would have been a bonus against that great side rather than a game where a loss would have had big ramifications.
Anyone else feel this game is one of the clubs biggest matches over the past few years?
Just how big is Wednesdays game?
