"Rangers and Scotland legend opens up sporting memorabilia room for veterans with dementia
Erskine Park houses 40 people who are either veterans or their spouses, all of whom are living with dementia.
The room will give them a place to be quiet and reminisce about classic sporting moments.
Football memories sessions are held in the room where residents are encouraged to talk about their favourite players and teams.
A television is also available for people to watch matches.
Greig said: “It was great to meet everyone. It’s a wonderful place and the Sporting Memories Room brought back many memories for me.”
Carol McPhail, activities assistant at Erskine Park said: “We are thrilled that John came along today to officially open our Sporting Memories Room.
"Many of our residents are keen on football and for such a football legend to come to our home to spend time with them is fantastic."
75 years of age and still putting something back
Respect

I remember Lennon picking up a rangers scarf and spitting on it after an OF match which IMO is far worse than impersonating a penalty miss and I don't like the guy because of that
The moral high ground is fairly lofty at times
But I am just a mad raging bigot for thinking that way because NL is an Ulster kafflick

Well done Curly. Acceptance is always the first step
