Wenger's Interview (the delusion continues)

Arsene: "We are one point short" . No, the final table reads Chelsea 93, Arsenal 75. That's 18 points short. Your remit it to win the title.
Arsene: " In the last two months the team has responded very strongly as well" . Well Arsene, the season is nine months long! What happened in the other seven months. You remember admitting Arsenal was not ready for the first game of the season, ironically against Liverpool.
Arsene: "it is important to keep this group of players, believe me because they will learn from what happened this season and be stronger next season " . Well, I don't believe you Arsene . In fact you are a two- faced, arrogant, liar. What happened this season has mirrored itself for twelve seasons! What the feck have you or they learned. And what "group of players" do you refer? The group that consist of Theo, Sanogo , Giroud, Ramsey, Jenkinson, Debuchy, Per, Gibbs ?
Arsene: " I said no to many clubs during my career here" . What nonsense! You found your comfort zone in Arsenal . No other half decent club would have condoned your mediocrity and you fecking know it.
Please take any crumb of self respect you still have left and step down as manager of Arsenal FC on the 27th of May 2017.

Losing out on CL could be a blessing in disguise for Arsenal. It was all very comfortable making up the numbers and raking in the cash but in all honesty were the club ever taken as serious contenders?

A total rethink and a change of manager if the way to go now IMO.

"it is important to keep this group of players, believe me because they will learn from what happened this season and be stronger next season"

For some players that may well be true. Xhaka has learnt from his early red cards and has toned down his tackling and Gabriel looks a different player to the one who played most of this season for example

The problem is that Wenger's position as manager has become untenable. What happens if the team loses a couple of matches early next season?

Wenger is staying whether we win or lose next week. Would I take the loss if it meant Wenger walking? 100%. But I won't because he's going to stay.

The atmosphere would become toxic again. The fans don't trust him anymore. as soon as we get a bad result, fearing the worse the fans will be on his back, because we've seen it all before, year after year. It is untenable now, I don't see a realistic way he can get the fans to believe he's the right man for the job. Maybe if he wins the fa cup, buys 4 real top quality players and goes on a long unbeaten run next season and beat the big teams, then maybe. But I just don't think he's capable anymore, he has to go.

yep, his used that line a lot recently regarding the "hostile" atmosphere. For me this is the last straw of his lame excuses, his blaming the fans who turned against him because of his non existent coaching and Man management.

I'm sorry, it's disgraceful that he changes the system and tactics to a back 3 when his back is completely against the wall and the fans were crying out for it.

It's like the token signing he makes, Perez to appease the fans every year. In fact it's the fans anger each year that drives our transfers in most cases.

True and he didn't have the respect to thank the fans at the end. Like the fans or not, their money pays his salary. It's been a crap season and fans are still turning up and traveling the country, he should show a bit of respect and show his appreciation. He get paid 8.9m a year, he's underachieved badly, and for that money you should just accept any abuse from the fans
