Well that was an entertaining read. So many angry people on here. Fecking hell can't we all just agree to disagree? For what it's worth I ordinarily want all English clubs (apart from Arsenal) to fail disgracefully in every comp. This makes me feel better about my own clubs uselessness for some reason.

However, after the other day I do feel a bit less anti-Utd than usual and although I'd prefer them to lose I wouldn't be too bothered if they won as it might make a few Manc people happy if only for a little while

Nah I'd actually like to see it. It would be great. Perhaps all the victorious Ajax team could line up after receiving their winners medals and in turn do it.

Skullfecking Jose could become tradition like Abide with Me and meeting Royalty before cup finals. The miserable little fecker would probably enjoy it

The whole argument is ridiculous.

You're accusing people of being unsympathetic due to tribalism but everyone who has said they want united to lose because of tribalism as they sperate an attack and a game of football

If you can explain your point better I'm all ears but that's how it's come across

I have not accused anyone of anything.

I have not said people are unsympathetic due to tribalism,I said I am surprised that there had not been a moderation of the usual club rivalry.

I expressed surprise to one Liverpool poster's wtf reaction to my own alternate view because i thought if there would be one set of fans that could at least empathise with that view it would be Liverpool fans because of Hillsborough.

And i note from one on your comments today on the Liverpool board that it appears that your usual level of tribal rivalry has indeed been tempered.

Fair enough, I'm the same as always I don't invest my time worrying about other clubs unless it directly impacts us directly so my level of 'tribalism' is pretty much irrelevant.

If united win it will be good for the city if they lose it will be funny to laugh at united fans on a football only level.
