Conor's gas tank doesn't get him past x3 5 minute rounds, let alone 12 rounds of 3 mins.

He beat Nate Diaz after 5 five-minute rounds. Diaz fight was at 170 pounds, and MMA is far more exhausting than boxing because you're using your entire body.

Conor isn't going to gas against a smaller man who doesn't have the power to chase him around the ring. If anything, it's the 40-year old Floyd who's gonna get gassed... we saw what happened to Klitchcho in the 11th vs AJ.

A peak 27 year old McGregor is not going to gas against a feather punching 40 year old, it's just not going to happen. The fact that some people are saying that shows how little they know about the extreme demands of MMA fighting or about McGregor himself.

Also McGregor isn't some kind of mindless thug who's going to chase Mayweather all night. He's an intelligent fighter who studies the art of fighting and movement in extreme detail. He'll know every single thing that Mayweather will do. Can Mayweather say the same about McGregor? No he can't.

Different kettle of fish, but if a late bloomer like Algieri (who started out in martial arts) can hang with top boxers then Conor isn't going to get pummelled into oblivion. McGregor's a 2 weight UFC champion and a world class fighter, surely that's better experience than fighting 10-15 bum fighters?

Fully expect Mayweather to outclass him and win either a decision or a late stoppage, he won't be knocking him clean out in the first round though.

Nah I never made that claim at all but it seems that boxing fans who don't watch any MMA have little idea what they're actually talking about when it comes to Conor so just trying to educate them a bit.

If McGregor was a good enoigh boxer he'd be a boxer, he's all about the money yeah? Lot more money in big boxing fights than big MMA ones.

Yet in Forbes recently released highest paid athletes he was second only to Mayweather?????

Valid point KLS but that is far from the norm in the sport and to be fair it's mainly down to McGregor that UFC athlethes will be better paid.

I just think if he'd been good enough to be a boxer he would be one.

Still I'm looking forward to this fight it is what it is a stand alone show piece event.

We all know he's not as good a boxer as Floyd Jnr but he's not fighting a 27 year old floyd, he's fighting a 40 year old with brittle hands, who's not fought for 2 years.

CM is in his prime and has a punchers chance, I'm looking forward to the event.
