I think Fabinho will be worth every penny and more. The type of signing that could take us up a level.

He's such a well rounded midfielder. Powerful, dynamic, destructive but classy.

Defensively he's very good at sensing danger and breaking up play, he's strong and well-timed in the tackle and protects the ball well.

Offensively he's calm in possession, capable of playing through the lines and switching play and he's hard to stop when he gets running with the ball.

Ultimately he should add some much needed balance to the midfield, allow us to attack with a bit more freedom, offer better protection to the back four and improve us transitionally.

Good summary this... He's not quite a defensive midfielder, offers plenty going forward too.

Last night I read Fabinho might be bought to play wing back.

So perhaps Matic and Fabinho will come in but not to compete for a spot in the side

Not seen anything substantial backing up the twitter nonsense that we've bid, or have agreed anything with Fabinho. Nothing in any French papers, or English. Just Di Marzio the Italian Bushmouse.

Fabinho is naturally a right back who's switched to centre mid this season, wouldn't exactly be a shock to see mourinho play him there given you have Valencia as first choice atm, and darmian may be heading to Juve.

from what I hear fabinh recently said he will be tempted by a move to utd while in brazil

when this happens I take the pov that a bid as not been put in by the club. When serious talks begin most players and buying clubs shut up cos they have more to lose.

Yeah, the players recent comments suggest to me there is nothing done or close to being done.
