AM I the only 1 who think we may be signing too many new players.
Last season we had a squad which we all can agree over achieved but Garry Monk managed to get them to gel & peform well upto the last 7-8 games.
This season we knew we needed to strenghten in certain areas.
Are we signing too many too soon, will this upset the balance the dressing room stabillity?
This is where the manager comes into the equation. Thomas Christianson, can he really handle this issue with managing such a huge club at the same time?
Am I the only 1?

A few of our squad will be moved on i think.
Just hope its not Green or Wood who would be really difficult to replace.
Really not convinced by the keeper we have brought in.

People say sign quality. What EXACTLY does quality look like, we sold McContract for LOADS, hasn't looked the same player since. The ONLY player we KNOW is quality is Bartley as we saw him week in week out, other than him paying loads gauarantees us nothing.

Ross wad brilliant at Fulham and was sold for more than we got

Saiz and Alioski look decent but since both have yet to sign I am concerned. We have brought in one player who has a proven track record at this level, keeper should be able to adapt rest are speculative. Also we have a manager who may or may not cut it and no defence. We are nowhere near ready.

42 goals
22 assists
In two seasons at Fulham - not too bad

Anita is quality. Championship WINNING centre midfielder. Played in the premier league and for Holland and Ajax. You don't do that unless you've got quality.

These are not cheap signings though.
Wood - 3m was a revaltion last season
Pontus 3m was a revalation last year
Roofe 3m was not a revalation but would anyone say he wont be this year?
Saiz 3m based on the above and his fanfare can anyone say with certainty thet they are not intruiged based on the above?
Trruth is we have over the last 2 seasons spent good money and its worked. So by logic its fair to say that Saiz and Alioski who both command similar fees may folow suit no?
---------
Out of our players mentioned only Pontus really delivered in his first season.
Wood took a season to really find his feet with us, Roofe has yet to really find his feet with us.
The point is that it's even harder for mediocre foreign players to come in and hit the ground running in their first season, look at Antonsson as another example.
If we want promotion this season, I'm not convinced that this is the transfer policy to date to achieve that.
They should be more affective after a season but its a gamble for it to work this season and as to top Cat's original question yes it feels like signing too many players, 2 or 3 was what is really needed, 4/5 at most.

2 are youngsters for the future, 2 are resigning from the prior season.

Jonty, I completely agree fella. Also ths is a scattergun approach to find a winning formula. Very lucky if it comes off. There are so many reasons why new signings do not peform off the bat & take time to settle. As to why I would prefer we signed 3 known quality players who have done it at PL or Championship level. But then spending big does not mean promotion. Has to be a happy settled squad.
