After reading the "no new articles" I thought I'd do my bit to get a some discussions going.
Did anyone go to the Leeds game? I had a feeling we could sneak a draw because of our away form but obviously gutted to lose.
Is anyone going to the game tonight? I know Carling Cup games don't have the same atmosphere as league games but should be good to see some of our old players back. As for the result I'm not fussed if we win/lose/draw (I'm sure when I get to Selhurst Park this will change) but I'm going with 2-1 to Wigan.
So...

The Leeds game..................Shame about the result BUT i'm really glad that 1- We're scoring away and 2- Despite going a goal down we came straight back. This would never have happened last year so a definate improvement
Tonight..................Can't make it despite buying a ticket . I'd love to have seen the old boys come back and i would love us to win. A good cup run gels the team, is good for the coffers and also the fans. I think the game could go either way but i'm usually wrong! Probably Wigan 0-2.
As for any action on here...................Shame. I was really hoping that this would be the new 606 as it seems to be fo many other clubs. Maybe in time...........?

Good points TUX it is an improvement on our away form. This seasons performance is more encouraging than the last. In regards to stuff going on here I guess we'll just have to keep posting and commenting and hopefully lure some people back or at least new ones (such as myself).
Last night I was in the Main Stand for the first time in ages. I didn't realise you had to go through a maze of bars to get to your seat (not that I'm complaining!). Good to see we were both wrong with our predictions. The first half was all Palace and we could have been 4 or 5 up. Once again Williams and Murray played well. Looks like Murray is a good buy. He's not a Vaughan replacement because he doesn't run but we have Scannell and Zaha to do that for him. He's got good finishing and anticipation. I would back him to score another 10-15 goals this season.
It was good to see Watson back and if anyone had to score against us it might as well be him.

My prediction worked
Sounded like another solid performance and bagging another couple of goals to boot. It all bodes well for a season of 'mid-table mediocrity' as apposed to the last couple of seasons.
It'll be a tough game but roll on Boro Sat

I was going to say I'd settle for a mid table finish but didn't want to seem negative. My reasoning is that if we finish near the relegation zone then it would seem like nothing has changed since Burley (when clearly it has) but if we finish near the playoffs then everyone would expect us to do the same or better next season which is added pressure on Dougie and the board. Therefore mid table this season, possibly next season? Then CHAMPIONS!
Or get promoted this year so when the w
