This isn't the same Hoffenheim team as last season. They have lost 5 of their first team players to transfers away. Plus maybe a 6th in their RB to Spurs Jeremy Toljan. Still have to be mindful as their manager sets them up to play counter attacking football and will have them well drilled. 5 days ago they just beat Derby 2-1. In a pre season friendly.

would forget that is.

On a good day they could be dangerous for Liverpool. When all things come together especially at their home. Beside that I think "normally" you should be alright. Nagelsmann is a promising manager but Liverpool surely top favourite.

That was dreadful to be fair.

I'm more worried about this now than if it had been one of the lesser teams. I would have preferred to have been able to play 2nd choice / squad players for these fixtures.

Starting the season now we have.
Watford away,
Hoffenheim away,
Palace home,
Hoffenheim home,
Arsenal home
City away

That's some serious squad juggling with the possibility of 4 teams who will sit back and hope to catch us on the break one after the other.
Followed by 2 top 6 rivals.
