Zlatan

Over the last few days we have seen stories saying Zlatan wants another contract with United once he is back to full fitness.

Simple question, would you have him back? I am in two minds, he is a proven, goal scorer, a proven winner and a big character but his ego won't let him play second fiddle and there is no way Jose will play 2 up top. I think if he comes in and understands his role as an impact/rotation player then I'd be all for it but I just can't see that happening with Zlatan.

What do you think?

His ego may allow him to accept he is a rotation/ back up. If so then absolutely, he clearly had a great effect on the dressing room last season .

And Mourinho won't drop his £75m man nor play him on the wing.

The unstoppable force vs the immovable object = Zlatan and Mourinho's egos.

He would be back up (expensive back up, but still back up) and there won't be a better back up striker in the PL for the second half of the season. I'm for the idea, could be a great boost for the winter schedule and run in.

No way Mourinho would drop Lukaku and make him the back up to accommodate Zlatan, unless he'd been gash for half a season, in which case we'd be glad to have Ibra back.

Second hald of the season, things not going our way, who would we rather use as our big man for the goals as a plan B, Zlatan or Fellaini?

Zlatan is going to be a back up here whether he likes it o not. There isn't room to fit him into the XI.

Im sure he wouldnt mind for half a season?

Dont you remember the ridiculous calender we had last season in April? 9 games was it?

If he's an impact sub then I'm all for it. I know he has an ego but I'm sure he'll accept that 36 and returning from a serious injury that he doesn't command a starting spot.

We didn't pay 75 million on Lukaku to bench him.

from December on wards the games come think and fast and Lukaku has never played in a team challenging for 4 titles. He wont be able to play every game. but imagine last 20 mins, Lukaku and zlatan up top.

If he's happy to be a bit part player. If not, no thanks

I'm sure if Zlatan asks his ego really nicely, his ego might just allow him to do what the manager wants him to do...Of course it depends on what mood Zlatan's ego is in. But if anyone can persuade Zlatan's ego to be a bit more flexible at the age of 36, it is Zlatan. After all, he knows his ego better than anyone.
