Haven't bothered going to Barcelona for the last few times we've drawn them.

Seen us get a couple of good results over there and it'll never happen again.

Awful stadium and worse away fan treatment.

Usual scenario of awful groups for us and more attractive groups.

Getting into pot 3 would be a boost.

Will have to take whoever we get but obviously some groups are far easier than others, so would be nice to get one a bit more favorable than last season.
Best shout of progressing could be if any of Savilla, Olympiacos (sp) or Liverpool fail to progress then we are into Pot3.
Savilla are at home having won away so looks odds on to progress but the other two are away with a single goal advantage and both having conceded at home so who knows.
Russian team from Pot one would be perfect

ps A we quirk of the revamp CSKA are the other Russian side who can make the group and are actually the closest ranked team to ourselves whereas Spartak are have close to a less than 1/2 the points of either of us but ended up pot 1.
This pot 1 placement on country coefficient is going to add some spice to the group makeup over the coming seasons.
I like it as creates the possibility of avoiding a truly top side from pot 1. That said whichever teeam upset the odds to top their league the previous season from one of these leagues obviously are no mugs but as is common when such occurs its seldom backed up the following season due to the players being poached by stranger sides.
No idea where Spartak fall in this scenario this year though.

Surprisingly this is the time to play Barca as they are at their weakest.
