I'm loving a bit of schadenfreude just now with regards to Barca.
Seeing them in such a blind panic, trying to bully teams into selling players after previously tapping up players and being snide as fvck.
It's amazing how the two top Spanish teams' fortunes have changed in 5 years.
Madrid have gone from looking wholly unprepared, stumbling from one season and manager to the next. Desperately throwing money at players and bringing nobody through the youth set up. Playing herky-jerky, disjointed football.
To looking a well oiled machine with an ex-pro in charge, a well respected ex-pro used to winning and in his first senior managerial job. They're bringing youth through, play mesmerising and fluid football and look unstoppable just now.
Contrast that to Barca who have regressed from that to a similar position that Madrid were in a few years ago.
Football can be mental as it's now Madrid pumping Barca in the same fashion that Barca were dominating them not so long ago.

I wouldn't say they are sub standard the vast majority of the squad are players under 23.

Ter Stegen, Pique, Rakitic, Busquets, Turan, Iniesta, Suarez, Messi, Rafinha, Mascherano, Paulinho, Alcacer, Cillessen, Semedo, Alba, Digne, Sergi Roberto, Andre Gomes, Vidal, Umtiti, Vermaelen, Douglas.
All 23 or older, most of them being older
Think there's like 5 players who aren't and they're all fringe/squad players.

Mascherano,alcacer,pique,vermaelen,Gomes,Paulinho and 30 pluses iniesta,messi,Suarez. Not looking good and plenty average there.
No Puyol,Xavi,Neymar replacements,a bloke who was poor for Spurs and a kid that couldn't get into Everton's team before they had money,Delofeu. That is an average squad bar Suarez and Messi.
