Musa

Is he now officially our worst ever signing, usurping Akinbiyi?

There's a strong case to say yes!

Great win tonight but not one player staked a claim to start on Saturday for me. Gray is the only one close to knocking on the door yet still, apart from the one moment of magic, he failed to influence the game. He has so much skill, I hope he finds a way to harness it. Because currently he's ineffective.

Other than that. No one. I really hope we sell Slimani and Musa in this window. One because he's now our worst ever signing in my eyes, and the other because he looks like he'd rather be anywhere else.

Finally, well played Knight on what was a superb little cameo. Maybe we don't need another centreback afterall!

Onwards.

Nev, to avoid any doubt, I rate players based on their commitment to our club and the ability in their feet (and brain), and nothing more.

I didn't even know what religion Musa and Slimani are because it doesn't even come in to my conscious when rating them as footballers. I don't care.

Your comments are slightly bizarre, especially if they're aimed at me.

Mersey - You're telling me you didn't know what religion Islam Slimani follows?

His first name is "Islam";
His surname is an anagram of "In Islam".

Cough cough, The most rascist people i have met in football are two well know Rnglish former managers. If you don't think there's racism in football look at all the highly qualified Black coach's.

I find it hard to believe that the issues at the moment about Arabs and muslims do not infect some peoples view ans no Mersey i don't include but if we can talk about gay chants. When Vardy plays with Ozi but said rascist comments at a casino is it far from the surface.

English manager who called their former black players Zulu's to my face left me speechless.

On a lighter note just seen Benny in Highcross with his beautiful girlfriend if that's being unhappy i will have some of that.

"As for Slimani (I missed the mention of him in the OP), I thought it was most interesting how Shakespeare in his post-match interview responded to questions on Slimani's future with a very generic "until we get an acceptable offer, he's our player"-type response. Granted I suspect that may be his typical response to those questions in this window but it was hardly a ringing endorsement. "

You'll might have also heard Shakey talking about Musa in a more upbeat term because he wants to stay and fight for his place.

There's the difference for me.

i think slim only came to LCFC because of his mate if Marhez leaves i'm sure imo he will leave

I personally hope he goes either way although I'm sure he could easily challenge Ade/ Musa for Mersey's title of worst ever signing.

Hmmmmmm Dunge - I guess that just highlights how little attention I do pay to it.

Are you telling me he's a Buddhist?

Confucianist.

Confucius, he say: "The way to scoring lies not with selfless interaction, but with total disregard for anyone else."

Confucius, he say: "Be not calm or placid with teammates or officials, for they are deserving of your scorn."

Confucius, he say: "The wise man passes to Mahrez at any opportunity when not near the 18 yard box."
