Just saw on the news about a wee 14 year girl murdered around 21 years ago that police have been reviewing this cold case. The article states that DNA from the murder scene is still held.
Spent most of my career championing people's human rights but for the life of me can't figure out why we don't make DNA samples from every person mandatory - these crimes and many others could be solved within hours.
