Comparing Llorente to that one trick Giroud is like having Jessica Beale for wife and dreaming of being with Dot from Eastenders ffs!

Giroud diesnt generate chances but granted he does take them

Llorente can score goals from anywhere and contributes to the general play too

Yep sounds exactly like Rickie Lambert when he played for West Brom. That's exactly how he was described.

All the goals I saw Llorente score last year for Swansea were finishing off moves in the box, like Giroud does. Which to me is exactly why we signed him, as an out and out finisher when we need one.

But I haven't watched him over his career so good to know there is more to his game

Good signing regardless of who he is compared to

Llorente is better looking in my opinion.

He wont be our Rooney who I see has just been arrested

Also we keep saying we have no wingers to cross the ball when that's ALL our wing backs do!

Also we have played the most crosses in the PL this season (82)

Be interesting to see how much he plays...with or without Kane...

I'd have said the same if he came to us (& Morata)

I will whisper it quietly....

* I think Giroud is pretty good *

He is not an elite PL striker, but he is a solid goalscoring PL 9 and would probably start for everyone outside the top 6

Hopefully scores goals off the bench in the same manner as Giroud

However I also don't think he'll be any good starting games. Again like Giroud

It's a good comparison. Giroud is an underrated target man who scores goals.
