Our chairman's dealings in the transfer market has frustrated many including me. His constant desire for brinksmanship is not ideal - particularly as the benefits to the manager and team for bringing new players in early are obvious.
However, looking at our final position yesterday, I believe levy has done well and should receive some credit.
- He cleverly introduced an "exclusivity" clause in the Aurier negotiations. I suspect that many will follow this approach in future.
- He secured good fees for the players that Poch was happy to let go.
- He paid very good fees - in what is a ridiculous market - for our acquisitions.
- He gazumped Chelsea - worth 5 stars on its own
- His legendary negotiating skills put Everton off dealing with us (apparently), but that won't stop us getting Barkley (if we still want him) for a considerable lower price in January.
All in all, I'd say well done Daniel!
Anyone agree?

What does it say about a club who are the current champions, who can offer obscene wages, who can out bid just about anyone else ......... and the players still don't want to join them, they'd rather join little old Spurs?

Thats in the past.
We cant offer stupid money any more and you offered Swansea more money and Llorente a longer contract.
He is a good buy for you, the only player we missed out on that I actually thought would get a few games for us.

The exclusivity feature of the Aurier deal was something already being used that Levy copied. So well done for using that in the deal but as he didn't do it first he is a follower in that respect.
The fee for Sanchez is rather hefty.
Apart from that Aurier was a great deal, Llorente is a top class and the kind of cover Spurs have been needing to add. Foyth by a lot of accounts has top potential so well done on that one too.
Overall it was a decent but unexceptional window for Spurs.
Would have been lovely to have seen Mahrez added along with those above

A longer contract yes
But you clearly have no clue if you believe we offered him higher wages
