James Wilson has been named in Jose's first CL squad. Is there any chance that he might still have a future at United, or is it more likely that he is just making up the numbers?
To be honest, I think that there are too many players ahead of him now to get another chance at United. It is a real shame, as the lad looked to have something when he first broke through and I had hopes that he could break into the first team on a regular basis, but injuries and bad loan moves have hampered his progress. He looks like a decent finisher to me and I think that he can still have a good career, perhaps at PL level, but he has likely had his chance at United now.
Full CL squad is as follows:
United Champions League squad:
Goalkeepers: De Gea, Romero
Defenders: Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Jones, Lindelof, Rojo, Blind, Darmian, Shaw
Midfielders: Pogba, Herrera, Matic, Fellaini, Carrick, Young, Lingard
Forwards: Mkhitaryan, Mata, Martial, Lukaku, Ibrahimovic, Wilson
B list includes: Joel Pereira, Tuanzebe, McTominay, Rashford

Someone put Ashley Young out of his misery. Off to Northampton or a team equally as irrelevant.
How a player of that calibre has had such a long spell at United on huge wages while rarely playing and even more rarely playing well I will never understand.

How dare you talk about the 17th highest PL assist maker of all time like that?

Ashley Young was last capped by England in 2013 which tells you all you need to know. Anonymous since then.
He's collecting 110k a week and can get a booze all weekend if he wants because he sure as hell knows he won't be playing

Its a good gig to be fair. The club must have tried to offload him this summer surely? How long has he got on his contract?

17th highest, impressive number to make from the bench.
He's out of contract next year. Tipped to be Neymar's long term replacement at the Camp Nou.

You can't blame him for sticking around. Money for old rope.

I never understood why their is a small limit in the first place as only 11 can play anyway. They should make every competion allow like 30+ players.

Worrying that Rashford is only in the B squad, not looking good for him under Jose.

Jose's got it all planned out. Young comes off the bench in the CL final for an injured Blind. Whips in a horrible cross that hits a defender on the back of his noggin 6 yards out and slowly bounces into the net for the winning goal. Ashley Young -Hero. Thoughts? I do believe in Unicorns as well.
