Team for Everton, assuming the

new boys are up to speed. May be a bit lopsided, but hey ho, if you don`t try it you will never know. I have shoe-horned the new boys in, let`s see how it goes. Having already dropped points this season, Spurs really need to win this game, but it won`t be easy.

Lloris
Aurier
Sanchez
Verts
Toby
Dier
Wanyama
Eriksen
Dembele
Ali
Kane

Subs
Vorm
Trippier
Davies
Son
Winks
Llorente

I don`t see Son starting, he was poor against Burnley. Always see him as a better option of the bench.

he will start

I'd be tempted to drop Dier and play a back 3

Lloris
Sanchez Toby Vert
Aurier Winks Dembele Davies
Eriksen Alli
Kane

but wont happen

Wanyama confirmed out for a couple of weeks (knee injury sustained in training). Means Dier and Dembele in DM roles (Winks on the bench to cover). Debut for Sanchez in a 3-4-3?

Trippier hasn't suddenly become a calamity over the summer

He was never good enough to be a starter for us anyway

He was good enough at the end of last season, and he's among the best crossers in the squad. I think he could provide a number of assists, especially now with Llorente.

Come on, he's not as bad as Alan Hutton is he? He was a calamity.

He might be able to cross a ball but he's an average defender, has average pace, literally cannot dribble, and is not at the standard of Walker or Aurier

If the Burnley game hasn't shown everyone what a average defender he is then nothing will.

But yeah he's a decent crosser of a ball.

this is true. Although he is a liability in some big game, we are not going to be able to get 2nd choice much better than him and Davies. In a few years they will be moved on with younger players coming in anyway.
