Thoughts Turn To Dortmund & The CL

We go again

Obviously need a better approach this year as results in Europe have been pretty poor for a while to say the least!

The opposition teams alwatys seem to be more wily & cunning than us! Let's hope we've learned from our mistakes and Poch gets his tactics right this year!

Still its exciting!!

COYS.

Good man sandy I'll take that positivity

The thing is the Press and Media have all but written off Spurs, whilst saying all the other British clubs will sail through their CL groups. Spurs are much stronger now, and I expect Poch to take all the cup competitions very seriously this year, because he knows he has to start winning trophies sooner rather than later.

We have better options on the bench, and Eriksen is in better form than he was this time last year. I only wish we had Lamela back.

I think the toughness of the group could work in our favour as well. We know we can't be complacent and the players should be up for it.

Despite Wembley I think we can get through the group.

Out of us and Dortmund to get second place so we have to beat them at Wembley to stand a chance.

Get 4 points from Dortmund and two wins from Apoel then the Madrid games will be a free hit.

Looking forward to it

Apoel could be the hardest matches. Spurs always seem to take sides like this too easy. Need to be up for the game against Apoel as much as against Real Madrid.

Not sure what makes you think Poch will take the domestic cups any more seriously this season. He has already publically stated that he only really considers the PL and the European trophies to be achievements

That may be true, but he needs to start winning trophies. He cannot just be seen as a manager who had a good team, but they won nothing. Football is after all really about winners. A league Cup or an FA Cup would at least be a start. Also the longer Spurs go without winning any trophy, their players will start to get restless and want away.

Spurs players don't care about domestic cups. Keane and Berbatov left after we won the Carling Cup while we have managed to retain our best players having put in title challenges and top 4 finishes

Arsenal have won 3 of the last 4 FA cups and their best players want to leave

Domestic tropihies and the FA cup particularly don't have the value they once did

SO? Pochettino is going to win the Prem this season.
Also he may take the Funny Adams Cup seriously.
But not the League cup.
All depends upon wot happens in the Chump League cup.
