I know it's early days and all that but I have concerns as I'm sure some of you also do about Warburton and his decisions in team selection and player transfers
First of all there is the well documented failure to address the centre back position or the left back position for that matter in the transfer window leaving us an inexperienced Worrall along with Mancs, (Mills and Hobbs are unreliable) hot and cold injury prone Traore as our only left back after the strange decision to let Pinillos leave. not getting replacements for Vaughan and Cohen in the middle (not sure about Bridcutt) when as much as I like both they aren't gonna play most of the season anymore,I know a lot of people have concerns about the gk position but I personally think Smith and Henderson are solid enough if we can sort the defence out, then there is his team selection - the unnecessary and downright bizarre dropping of Lichaj and freezing out of Vellios for no apparent reason, continually picking the inconsistent Osborn, and not to mention playing players out of position - strikers Brereton and Cummings on the wing?.
Now I know we are a work in progress and I didn't realistically expect us to challenge at the top end of the league this season but we definitely wont progress if we don't get the basics right ie. playing your players in their proper positions and addressing the glaring holes in your squad in the transfer window.
I hope Warburton has a long and hopefully successfully tenure as Forest boss as Im sick and Im sure the rest of you are of the constant sacking of managers but his decisions have been questionable and I think its showing in the teams performances and at the moment I'm not convinced.
Thoughts?
Manager Concerns

100% behind Warburton and what he is trying to do
His signings have improved the team from where we have been in the last 2 years.
We are not perfect and there is plenty of work to do but we have the right people in place to get it done.

Sam, last month you wrote an article telling us Hobbs was one of the best CB around and should be in the team.
Now you are telling us he is unreliable and Warburton should have brought more defenders to replace him 🤔

Warburton is getting the team to play Premiership type football in the Championship. It will work eventually trying to play like Barcelona with a squad of Championship players will always throw up some errors.
Brit left because we were a crap team that avoided relegation to the Third Div' on G.D.
Garry Rowett didn't want to manage us because we were a crap team with a worse owner.
There have been only two constants over the past 5 years of disaster;
a] the academy
b] Benny Osborn
I think I would prefer Lichaj at R/B but there you go, he may well get his chance as the season progresses.
At a guess Vellios doesn't produce the goods on the training ground so is out.
I can't believe anybody is questioning Warburton after a couple of home losses.

Neither SAF or Sir Brian would have gone on to forge football history and become football legends in the modern game.
They would both have been sacked by Man U and Forest respectively as failures.

I rate Hobbs as a player Bunk the unreliability is in his fitness which when he played for us in the league cup I thought had been resolved but I guess that's not the case

Guys I'm behind Warburton but you can't tell me your happy with him playing strikers on the wing dropping our player of the season from last year and just don't understand why Osborn gets a free pass all the time

From a Ram (I'm bored) - Seems like your doing well this season and looks like your starting to build on something, mid table this year (like us I reckon) onto better things next season.
Oh also keep an eye on Adam Smith in your U21's (I think) definitely one for the future.

Like most on here I'm 100% confident MW will make us capable of challenging for a play off place at least. I'm equally confident it won't happen this season.
Any manager taking over a team which narrowly escapes relegation will need three windows at least to put his team together.
Don't anybody doubt that MW can see the areas where we need to improve as much as we can. He will be working to correct our faults I'm sure. It won't happen overnight though.
Off the pitch we have probably put ourselves in a better financial position by selling Britt; and revenue must be up even taking into account reduced admission prices.
So in brief, and referring to the title of this article: I don't have any. I have a bit of patience though; I'd suggest everybody should get some.

Our decline from just outside the playoffs to narrowly avoiding relegation took five years. Usually declines are swifter that subsequent recoveries.
Be patient everyone please. (Including Mr Marinakis)

We tried for a few defenders I thought. Dean and Hector at least two.
I rate Traore, really seems to have turned his game around from sounding average at QPR. Lichaj can cover LB adequately. I can't think of many LBs that would get in ahead of Traore right now.
I agree that freezing out Vellios is just weird. Why even play him in preseason?
A goalie who can distribute well would've been a bonus, or one who comes off his line occasionally.
We've lost to three playoff bound teams in Leeds, Sheff Weds and Wolves. The latter going balls out and spending serious dollar!
I agree about Brereton on the wing. He was getting nowhere against Wolves. Should've played Carayol.
W4 L4. Certainly exciting and would put us just outside the playoffs on 69 points. Were on track for top half I reckon and I feel if we get 2-3 more players then we might sneak 6th?
Losing Vaughan is a huge blow. Bridcutt is still adjusting, but once Vaughan is back and after the next International break the games are less frequent and I'd expect us to start improving.
Even Fulham and Leeds lost. Strange old league this one!!
