Former Everton winger McGeady, who was booed by the home fans on his first return to Deepdale, ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the home fans after scoring his goal.
Sunderland manager Simon Grayson on McGeady's celebration: "You are allowed to run around any part of the field and celebrate how you want.
"Why shouldn't you celebrate? He was unfairly taunted, I thought, because he was exceptional last year. ----Not the same in Scotland. I guess. !!!

Fans booed him so he has every right to celebrate and taunt them back. Don't like it, don't boo.
Its not often a boo boy beats the crowd though, nice when it happens

I am fully in the camp of if the fans gie abuse they better be ready to take it back, seriously we have aw heard the kinda abuse that players take during games, I given it out myself so if they bite back then gird your loins and take it on the chin when the player goes you it back👍

I'm no McGeady fan but if fans taunt a player you should expect it back
As far as doing it then it's down to respect from both sides. Some will score and do their job but out of respect for the opposing fans won't overly celebrate

Then there will be some who celebrate fully. Fair enough
