I wouldn't have thought so. Hodgson is a perfectly fine manager for a lower half premier league team, and they are always going to struggle for goals with bad injuries to attacking players.

Hodgson has had two difficult games. Unfair to judge him too harshly on that

I agree it's unfair to judge Hodgson on his games so far against top teams.

But you have to say the man looks even more lost than his England days.

They should've just let De Boer have a crack at those 4 solid fixtures Woy has begun his reign with.

Worst that happens was they lost them all, which they will anyway, and they could've still sacked him.

Maybe he could've seen improvements as they further adjusted to his style, the last game they lost they were unlucky and played far better than they have so far with Woy.

At least then the new manager would've come in with some more reasonable fixtures and perhaps seen a 'new manager syndrome' for a few games and picked up some points.

But its fair to judge FdB after 2 games when trying to implement a completely new style of play, which had been asked to do by the club management?

Not fair on de Boer at all, completely ridiculous decision to sack him after four games.

It takes time but he's getting there with team selection, as did Sam, and equally motivation.
We played well today, attacked at every opportunity and never 'parked the bus'. Yeah, Chelsea could've had a couple more goals but then again so could we.
