It would be typical of Scotland to finally qualify for a competitive tournament when it's in Russia. A place many wouldn't visit due to their governments morals and beliefs. Not to mention the hooligan element that we continually see from their supporters which if we're honest, makes the old firm clashes look like tiddlywinks.

That's not to say I'll moan. If we somehow pull this off with bannan in midfield I'll be delighted - at our first tournament for two decades. I had just turned nine years old last time.

Our squad isn't rich with talent so the there is many obvious choices for the line up and I doubt we'll be changing to a back 3 or anything.
Many want mcgregor to start but I suspect Chesney will be looking for experience, he's already hinted that the players don't seem to be struggling after Wednesday's exploits.

I'd love to go to a tournament but not sure I'll get the numbers together if it happened, due to location and the problems. Would many of you go?

I appreciate I've ignored the play off round and the fact Slovenia haven't conceded at home playing a team who have struggled to score despite being 2nd place.

I've heard it's 350 for a flight during the tournament.

If we start like this I expect to see Martin, Phillips and mcgregor from the bench. Easy to change formation with this setup and subs.
