Its so feking weird here. The provinces with Conservative govs are getting worse numbers than last year. But they gave up on mask mandates and distancing in July now the fekin army has had to go in to help along with health workers from other provinces and ICU patients being flown to other provinces for treatment. Also federal MPs must have vax passports to fly or take trains and attend parliament. They're not happy. I say fekum.

You live in a city with one if the best public transit systems in the world. You work at a place with a tube station in it. FFS why do you need a car?

The nearest tube station that goes to Heathrow from my house is 35 mins away, I work from 5:30am sometimes.

Although worth noting re masks; they are still required to be worn inside in scotland, but Scottish case numbers similar to rUK. Not that folk are necessarily following the protocols though, I seem to be the only one in Morrisons wearing a mask these days.

indoor socialising seem to be the biggest spreader mask or no mask.

Aye was looking at a thread (actuarial covid group of course) noting that the lack of indoor distancing is a big contributor atm.

On the mask usage I thought this was a particularly interesting paper;

As close as we have to a controlled sample
