Invincibles

I am getting little worried and nervous the way City progressing this season...I hope they don't match our Invincible record

So if you were manager, what would you do to beat City?

Also how many of you think, City will win PL without losing a game? or how many of you think, City will lose game at some point?

Thoughts please?

A lot more unbeaten seasons since the 70’s than before.

I guess football must have been harder.

I would say the money at the top of the game today makes unbeaten seasons more likely.

It’s no coincidence that teams have had 13 game winning streaks in the PL two seasons running.

Meh.

Arsenal still weren’t 1st and Preston are still the only other team in England.

Doesn’t prove it was easier for Preston.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why the fack should I care who were first? I never argued that point and I don't support Arsenal.

If you want to argue in Preston' favour, you could point out their superior goal difference and far better win %.

There, just gave you a couple of solid arguments for ammo. Off you go.

I meant more that I dont care if City manage to go unbeaten through the season. They would be the second team that managed that. Not more, not less. Second best ....Why are people worried about it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Didn’t Preston do it so actually Arsenal were second best.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn’t count, apparently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Preston only had to play like 18 games though so yeah enough said.

Shut up you ugly fat poofter.

Preston did it first. Like Spurs doing the double and United doing the treble. Nobody remembers teams that achieve something second

^ except they do, particularly in the modern era, which is evident from all the bitter spite filled barbs posted on this thread

City will not go the season unbeaten

Arsenal fans get so emotional about their unbeaten season. Think someone coined it best earlier as an unusual achievement. It's a great one. By mine and others posts still stand that I don't know why you would be fussed. Still only one league title. Several teams have had more successful seasons since. That's when, as opposition fans we should worry. If city start to clear up.

Some good posts here, thanks.

I don't think we Arsenal fans getting emotional or upset but imo it would be fantastic to be the 'only' holder of this record in modern era football.

Of course credit to Preston as well for that achievement back in days and other teams in the Europe.

agree. It is so unique. Back then there was arsenal, maybe utd, and maybe chelsea as a threat. Hopefully city don't do it, with us, yourselves, utd, liverpool, spurs
