First off, I just want to say that Graeme Murty deserves huge credit for the job he has done in his two spells as caretaker manager. Stepping into such a high profile, high pressure job like he has is not an easy thing to do
However, there are a few bears saying they would be quite happy for Murty to be given a chance and to remain in place until the end of the season
While we have got some decent results under Murty, let's look at the full facts here
Murty's overall record during his two spells as caretaker is:
P 12
W 7
D 1
L 4
Let's compare that with Pedro's first 12 games
W 7
D 2
L 3
as for Warburtons first 12 games in 16/17 (not including the league cup games against lower league opposition)
W 7
D 3
L 2
Going by those records, Murty is hardly setting the heather alight
When you also consider we have the January transfer window coming up and Murty has absolutely no prior experience of buying/selling players or a transfer record...for me, he ain't the man for the job by any stretch and replacing him in January would be my preference

Walter with the amount of money he had should of done better. Legend in ththe domestic game a shambles in the Euro game just like Brendan!!

93 and 2008 were great but to n a one off Euro final and to sit back and bottle it the way he did was a disgrace!!

what is forgotten is we were a pretty ordinary team in 2008 certainly in Euro terms.
But the tactics worked all through 2 outstanding defenders held it together.
To have gone at them would have been suicide.
The game plan might have worked had Cousin not been such a phany in the semi final.

Broadfoot Dailly and Darcheville had brilliant effort and followed the team instructions well but Rangers really had no business progressing as far as we did. Absolutely amazing achievement as before the season it really would have made everyone laugh if it had been said rangers would do as well as they did.

Its strange that the teams of 72 93 2008 were really not as good as other Rangers teams of similar vintage or certainly in other years we had better players.
In 61 AND 67 we had far better than 72 for example yet we won in 72.

Well he went for it with Gazza and Laudrup and didn't get very far.
His tactics were genius in 2008 given the limited ability in parts of that team

We had the luck of the green that year big Time Duke, Sporting should of done us at Ibrox if it wasn’t for the bar saving us 4 times.
As Sulver said Lady Luck has got to have a wee fancy for ye.
