Evenings guys..
I feel that we need to sign BOTH of these players at some point.Mahrez is worth a bid now & Zaha at the end of the season, when Palace are safe.
Mahrez offers pure technical ability.. he’s a match winner, a game changer,he can conjure a goal out of nothing.. he’s pure class.
Zaha on the other hand is now finally showing his true class..he’s playing out of his skin,he has pace to terrorise any defense.Hes not a natural finisher, but can open up any defence, for the likes of Kane to exploit especially..
To have any chance of challenging for the title next season & onwards, we need to strengthen our squad significantly & options by signing these two..
To balance the books, we would need to sell Rose(bring in Shaw or Segnesson), Lamela, Llorente, N’Koudou & Sissoko.. no loss there!
Poch himself said that the time to judge us & watch us & fully compete,is from next season, when we are in our new home..
Our options from the bench are poor, no game changers at all.
What are your thoughts on the matter, guys?
Mahrez & Zaha

The only thing these players offer is pace , Zaha only looks good in a very poor palace side as he is easily there best player, I honestly think if he were to join spurs he would flop.
As for Slim shady Mahrez he only turns up every once in a blue moon and is a lazy facker.
I’d i could have one player signed this window I would like Koke from Ath Madrid , his 25 years old very versatile and a criminally underrated player.

A CM is more important. Dembele is injury-prone and ultimately can’t be relied on. His contract is up in 2019 so we can either sell in the summer or give him a last hurrah next season and let him go on a free. Winks isn’t as good as people make him out to be. The temperament is there as he showed in Madrid but there’s more to it than that, understandable that he’s not the complete package as he has more to learn and is inexperienced for his age.

Won't get either.
We couldn't sign Barkley due to wages. Same thing applies here.

Spurs need to start to unearth some more gems like Ali. Never quite sure why players like Barkley, Marhez, Zaha keep getting bandied about like they are the only three players on the planet available. There must be hundreds of decent players out there, that would not cost a fortune.
Sometimes the clubs in the Prem at the top get really lazy with their scouting system, and just splash out huge amounts on players that could have been purchased for a fraction of the price, just a couple of years earlier.

Zaha overrated if he was as good as hyped he would be playing at a big club already by now

We never show enough intent in windows. Always the same naivety that we don't need improvement or that we can roll up on the last day and get our business done. Weak.

Yeah I don’t like that. Personally I didn’t want Barkley anyway but if the club are after particular players then I wish we’d show some imtent to get them. I’d imagine a player would feel quite flattered and important if a club/manager was showing a real desire to get them, with us it seems a case of ‘oh yeah we’d like to sign you perhaps....’ when we make our tentative move at the last minute.

I wasn't that into signing Barkley either but for £15m that seems pretty low risk with potentially very high gains. And this was a player who we were already aware was interested in joining us. Whatever your thoughts on Barkley, we can all safely say that signing him makes more sense than signing Sissoko did.
It amazes me how unwilling we are to be that bit more ambitious considering how close we are to genuine success.

Yeah fair enough. Wasn’t talking about Barkley in particular, more in general. But while we’re on the subject I’d imagine Chelsea laid all the groundwork in the last month or two which is the way to do things. Not claiming that as fact before one or two of the ‘Levy gets everything right all the time so do not besmirch his good name’ brigade pounce on that comment, just my gut feeling.
