Plenty of dead wood still at the club. The ‘fergie left us in the s..t’ line is laughable,league winners by 11 points and plenty of funds in place for the next manager,it would not have taken much to remain at the very least competitive. Moyes season was a total disaster in every sense on and off the pitch,air of invincibility at Old Trafford gone,continued away defeats which he achieves throughout his career and the football served up was tactically awful and the rot set in.

It was always going to be extremely tough for the next manager to compete with that squad.

Or just not sacked all the backroom staff......

Or make the silly decision to waste six months evaluating players that he should have already been familiar with.

Theres plenty of reasons for the ridiculous amount spent.

1. Poor planning from the club
2. Managerial disasters which kind of links to point 1
3. Transfer market going daft
4. Selling clubs exploiting our wealth

We have been a bit of a shambles in the market over the last 6/7 years tbh. A few gems like DDG aside we've signed a lot of mediocre players and some star players that clearly weren't suited to us.

Both Liverpool and United need to look at some kind of La Masia style academy schools......we're spending hundreds of millions on players we would have once churned out for fun!
