Half term report for Morata

Our fans were stupidly patient with Torres, yet are finding it hard to give a young striker with obvious talent time to settle in a new league, with a new responsibility of leading the line for a team.

Despite missing easy chances he has already scored more PL goals in a season than Torres ever did for us.
It isn't in question that his link up play is far superior to Torres' was either.

If he keeps up his current strike rate he gets to 20 league goals after 34 games, it took Torres 110 games to manage that.

I completely agree with Sideshow and Morata has done alright for Chelsea so far.He should have a better striker to shoulder the burden of scoring crucial goals for Chelsea though.

Vardy's pace is due to go in the next season or 2, wouldn't be a wise decision.

I expect a world class striker to be able to finish as a minimum. Poor hold up, linkup play, first touch, passing and positional play I can live with if he's lethal. Not the other way round. He's there to score goals. Sometimes from nothing. Look at Drogba, poor basic footballing skills but what a finisher. Costa the same although build up play better.

Vardy is a good shout. Fab would have a field day with his early balls onto his runs.

Exactly and I don't think we'll see the best of Morata until next season onwards as even the very best strikers need time to adjust to the PL when coming from abroad.

He's been in poor from in the last month or so but overall I'd give his first half of the season a 7/10.

anyway i'm not saying its a long term solution...it quite obviously wouldn't be

I like Morata , he is having a hard time finding the net at the moment , but he is 10 times what torres was , he creates tons of chances for our team , the reson hes so frustraiting at the moment is he does everything else great , movement , first touch , hold up play , he links with the rest of our attack well.

and the diffrence between torres and morata is , morata has allready had a good period , torres was never good for us.

Hopefully he'll regain his touch soon
