It is being reported that Cyrille Regis has past away on Sunday evening with a suspected heart attack. Cyrille was aged just 59.
What a very sad loss of a great past player and friend to West Bromwich Albion. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

^ Wow 16Bit, you just brought a massive smile to my face. I too was a Panini kid. And I swear, getting Cyrille and Laurie (and Brendon) was one brilliant day for me. Fantastic times. Amazing men all three.

Nice comments above. Gutting really that I never got to witness how good a team we had back then.

Ah yes Batty - the Holy Trinity. As someone of that generation I was fortunate enough to see at least Cyrille and Brendan live play for WBA. Great Days.

amazed to see no league organised tribute to cyrille regis. considering his importance in the social history of our country as well as football i hope that we join albion in a minutes silence/applause to his memory.

Looks like Prem League are organising something (minutes applause).
I for one hope that similar commemorations are held at league grounds everywhere as a mark of respect to a standout player. As said above, this guy, along with LC and BB, were landmarks in the social history of the country and the game for me.
