About 18 months ago I went for my run, was nearing 10km and had pushed it. Was running through the high street past Debenhams when I saw a young lad (mid twenties) proudly wearing his Leeds shirt. I ran up to him very out of breath and gave him the salute, he looked terrified poor lad. I stopped pointed to myself and beat my chest saying Leeds and then went on my way, can still see the fear in his eyes. Not sure the salute is universally recognised, least not in North London it appears it isn't.

After that petition it'll be the most recognized salute going!..

Well at least they were funny in a totally non P.C way.

This is totally the opposite.

The salute is animated - it has movement. When captured in a static image with an Art Deco style torso, it looks like a well known shirt bloke with a moustache’s salute. Not good, not representative and looks aggressive - not out our (ownable) salute. MOT
