Mahrez

Unconfirmed reports are stating that City have made inquiries for Riyad Mahrez.

Is there any truth in this or just fake news?

ernie why lie on the thread no need for it. You and everyone else knows full well Sanchez did not snub city, City pulled out of the deal after a meeting with the ceo pep and begiristain. It was agreed that due to the excessive demands of Arsenal, Sanchez & his agent it was better to walk away and strengthen where needed. This has been done with eyes clearly focussed on the future so if you believe sanchez snubbed city carry on living in your own little fantasy world.

Winston and Se85 vs the rest

That’s like finding yourself in a battle up against Darth Vader and Jimmy Saville, ie you should be confident you’re on the right side

I do wonder whether people like you need forums because you fail to function in society.

What the feck is this mess of a comment?

For the record, SE85 and I don't agree fully, which is why if you read up from these comments, you'll see me posting in disagreement against his point.

Maybe engage your brain next time.

Mahrez surely has the ability to knock a player out of the City side?

If he can work the way Pep wants, he'll be a brilliant player for them. I wish we'd signed him tbh.

Me too, would love him on our right hand side.

I think he's far more talented than Sterling, but the way Sterling has acquitted himself this season and followed Peps instructions has seen his productivity rise hugely, Mahrez will have to do the same to take his place as he won't be able to get by on natural ability alone.

I’m surprised he’s still at Leicester to be honest.

Would fit perfectly at Arsenal too, although Wengers commitment to only address one key weakness per transfer window rules that out for at least another 6 months, given the current focus on PEA

I think City walking away from the Sanchez deal was clearly the right thing to do given the price attached. Clearly to save some face Sanchez then went to a his who would have him at that price even though it wasn't his preference. It means he is stuck in a lesser team but he is coining it in. Mahrez wouldn't be the same sort of deal financially and I do understand that competing on 4 fronts is hard on a squad but I also wonder if it is part of a plan to move Bernardo more central as cover for Merlin? I think Gundogan will then clearly be KDB's rotational player and Fred the understudy to Fernandinho.

More mature contribution.

Just found out Kia Joorabchian is Mahrez agent.

That's probably why his price rocketed, I'm glad we pulled out.
