Pogba: Does he leave it all on the pitch?

I actually like Pogba. His skill set is very similar to Gerrard's and he's got wonderful technique in his passing, being able to strike the ball in different ways and manipulate it.

A lot of people slate the dabs and haircuts which doesn't bother me in the slightest other than the fact I always get that feeling that he loves being a footballer more than he loves his football. I can't think of many of the greats, or even world class players, who were flash with the hair and dabbed like a child and yet his skill set gives him the opportunity to be one.

Ultimately, does he leave it all on the pitch?

pogba gets dominated in some games, thats a bad sign

Usually big games unfortunately. Helps if the manager sets the team up right.

Not sure about some of the ‘non flash’ players, but mostly right.

Can’t stand him, find him extremely irritating.

Think he’d be better in a team with a manager who coaches attacking football as opposed to one who bought him primarily because of his size.

Don’t think he’s a patch on players such as Thiago and De Bruyne.

That’s cos he’s not as good as them. Certainly kdb anyway. But it does help if we use him correctly.

I think talent wise he is. Obviously there are slight differences like DB is a better dribbler but Pogba power, and underrated heading ability, is something that the other two don't have.

Pogba has the X factor and a great skill set. His vision is good as are his passing skills. But kdb is better all around, has even better passing than pogba, some of it avsoultely sublime, and is largely more effective.

Neither however are players that can boss a game, like a traditional central midfielder, kdb is not used as such, but Jose tries to use pogba as one. And we know it doesn’t work.

I think one of them will win the Ballon D'or in a few years.

Nah the goalscorers win the Ballon D’or.

Post Messi/Ronaldo it will be Kane, Mbappe, Neymar, Icardi etc up for it.

He definitely does not have the drive at the moment. Maybe because even though he doesn't perform to the fullest, the simplest of things that he does get right gets overhyped.

He has the talent to be one of the best in the world but you get the feeling that he thinks he's already there when he's far from it.

I also think a much more hungrier coach will benefit him a whole lot more. Not only him, but Martial, Rashford & Lukaku as well. A coach that's determined on improving his players and building a team...not one that expects the finished article to put in performances for him because it's their job (although you have to be professional but I'm hoping the point comes across)

I want to add one to the really good flash cvnts;

Ronaldo
Neymar
