Kilmarnock deserved their win

Yes it was a shocking pitch.

Yes we lost our two CB’s because of the pitch

However....

We should have been good enough to beat Kilmarnock

But....

Kilmarnock got their tactics right with 10 men behind the ball when Celtic were in possession and closed us down by putting 2 or 3 defenders on our attackers when there was danger.

So...

The inevitable happened, Kilmarnock broke away at speed and scored a worthy winner.

Conclusion...

Celtic were not good enough on the day and must do better

Disappointed that our players and manager are not more upset. Wrong attitude to have

I beg to differ - haven't seen any player interviews but BR looked as upset as I have seen him. What do you want him to do - burst into tears?

The winter break was obviously a waste of time and expense.

Don't see how Kilmarnock "deserved their win" when only one team wanted to play football. They got the win, no problem with that, but deserved? Not for me.

Dal - they had 12 shots (6 on target) against our 8 shots (1 on target) - it's all about opinions, mate, but that tells me they deserved it

That performance was akin to the abject performances we suffered in the 4 or 5 games run up to our defeat at Tynecastle. Most agreed that we needed that anchor of that unbeaten run off our necks and that we would reset and go again. Initial signs seem to confirm that and we expected after the winter sunshine break to be reinvigorated for the run in. Worryingly yesterday looked like a mirror image of those abject performances prior to Tynecastle. I know Killie deserve credit for their 2 banks of 5 stiffling tactics and indeed they had the better chances on the break but from our own point of view we looked helluva once paced and devoid of creativity. I also accept some opinions it was the pitch but that pitch has been down for several years as has Hamilton's so I am of the view we can't use that excuse when we have won over course and distance many times on these 3G and 4G pitches.
