I’ve admitted before that I didn’t rate him when he was first getting his chance towards the back end of the 2013/14 season, pretty sure I wanted us to sign Bony from Swansea at the start of the following season instead of persisting with ‘some academy kid we keep loaning out’ to paraphrase how I probably described him at the time. Ate a lot of humble pie after he hit 20 league goals in 2014/15, but even then I didn’t expect this.
100 league goals in 141 appearances
Only Alan Shearer has hit 100 league goals quicker than that which is some achievement considering the quality of strikers in the league over the years.
There have been quicker, more skilful and more gifted strikers than Kane over the years but he’s maximised what he’s got and dedicated himself to the game to extract all he can to get where he is. A testament to hard work and dedication.
Of those 100 goals he’s got a decent amount against the rest of the ‘big 6’ as well, so it can’t be said he’s a flat-track bully, might check later to confirm it but I think about 15 of them have been in these fixtures.
8 PL hat-tricks leaves him behind only Shearer and Fowler in the total number of PL hat-tricks.
My favourite goal? There are a few that stand out, but I love the one at Anfield in 2016 when he has to touch the ball away from the defender whilst rolling him before firing it into the bottom corner almost in one movement, very difficult skill to execute.

Shearer was pretty slow, compared to Owen, and Wrighty. He like Kane had a very good all round game.

Shearer never had much pace. In fact he was very like Kane. He could rifle them in from outside the area or poach them as well as being good in the air. He had a nasty streak which helped him gain advantage also. Perhaps this is something Kane could do better with.

I don't forget I just saw him not having much pace. He was never a player with much pace, ever. He relied on other things, like Kane.

Shearer had alright pace, bit there were some pretty slow CB’s back then. I’d say Kane has alright pace too. Both are quick in the brain and can strike a ball.

He was an aggressive runner more than quick.
I followed his career quite closely after he left the Saints, and he was never fast.

Obviously he wasn't Michael Owen quick but most his goals at an early age were him being faster than the CB and running off his shoulder. After his ankle injury he changed his playing style and worked on his strength.

No he wouldn’t be phenomenal at man United as he would be feeding off scraps in the big games where you treat the ball like the plague and your own penalty box like holy turf.
