Ronaldo maybe on the decline now, but Messi is still very much at his peak.

So why won't he move to City now? They are playing top level football with a world class manager and they could easily afford his wages right?

because he wants to stay at Barca. Why wouldn't he...the right club for him they think and they pay him a fortune anyway.

He's probably never heard of Man City until recent years. When you leave United Barca or R Madrid there is only one way to go and that's downwards.

First of we are miles behind both Real and Barca. We have a lot of catching up to do. The only place we are level with those two clubs are status wise.

Secondly, i am highlighting the point about what you said in regards to all players' heads will turn for the right money.

Messi stays at Barca because he loves the club and has a huge emotional attachment to it. He doesn't see any other club not at least in Europe that he'd ever dream of playing for. Yes he gets payed handsomely at Barca, but for a player of his abilities that is rightfully so. If he was ever to leave Barcelona i think it would be back to his hometown club in Argentina.
