Aston Villa away has predictably been televised. Our 20th game of the season on TV if you include Newport on BBC Wales.
You get £100k for being on TV at home and £10k for being on TV away. So we have 20 kick off times moved, playing away on weekdays and making it harder for travelling fans, and also potentially impacting attendances. Yet we only end up with roughly £1-2million more from TV rights as a team like Burton who are on once or twice.
Should we get more money for this? Or is it fairer to keep things more financially equal so bigger clubs don't get an unfair advantage?
Should we get more money from SKY?

Leeds fans still living 20 years back thinking their club is a UK powerhouse club. Seriously get over yourselves
-----
We're the 7th most televised team in England. So not a powerhouse but clearly still a big name. The point of the article is that we get peanuts in the Championship TV deal yet are televised more than 14 Premier League teams who get incredible amounts.

Please do define "UK powerhouse club" so we can try to pretend to be as clever as you.

Dragonite, let me correct you about
Firstly Leeds are a massive club purely on fan base alone. I could point out about our sell out away following with also the ticketless ones in the home end.
Compare that too promotion chasing teams Cardiff 650 to ER, Bristol 550. Derby 860, Fulham 650 etc etc
I could point out many more with pityful away following.
Then I could mention many PL teams without away fans.
As for living 20 years in the past I will educate you, it goes back to the 1960’s through the decades.
There are other reasons too why Leeds is a massive and unique football club.

Every Championship team should be shown a minimum amount of times and then that figures becomes the average, teams should be paid an extra £250k for each game over the average, lost ticket sales are one reason, another being the increase in advertising revenue

What does each Championship team get regardless of number of games, before the additional fee per game as quoted above?
Given that Leeds United always takes the full away allocation offered by the home team, yet the visiting section at Eland Road almost always looks just about empty, should that be a calculation factor? Should Leeds United's televised away games result in additional compensation to Leeds given our level of away support?

Personally I’m happy one rate for all teams, don’t know why but I’d hate to think teams like Barnsley and Burton will get less than us when sky bang one of their games on telly.
It’s annoying but a million extra a year ai t to be scuffed at, not in this league anyway

Well premier league rights are expensive but make sky a LOT of money. The Championship does not in comparison even with Leeds on every other week.
Leeds in the premier league on sky is what the owners need to be scrambling for.

A year or two ago sky showed an Arsenal game (cannot remember who it was against), we were on with our 2nd half and their 1st half overlapping, I think the game was against Derby so two fairly large teams.
I was sitting outside a bar in Turkey. The bar had three or four TV's. The owner let me watch the first half and then turned over to the Arsenal game for the second half. I ended up watching the second half on some little TV and the volume was down.
I was the only person in the bar throughout the game. No Arsenal (or other teams fans) came close.

We should be on every week with sky paying us at least 50% of what they pay premier league teams, seeing as we’re the biggest draw in the c’ship for them...
