QPR 1 - 1 Derby County

Loftus Road
London
1945
6 March 2018

Not sure how to start these threads. We're still top 6, we're still a good side, we have good players, we have a good manager and a nice stadium.

So, 'nuff said. What's the problem?

To listen to the naysayers, it would appear that we are primed for relegation to League 1, to listen to the soothsayers we have nothing to worry about...........

Would anyone have taken 5th back in August at the start of March? I would have.

Derby County midfielder George Thorne (calf) is out while centre-back Curtis Davis (foot) will be assessed. Defender Chris Baird serves the second match of a three-game suspension and Sam Winnall (knee) is sidelined. The Rams have only won one of their last eight matches in the Championship, drawing five of those games. (all of this for 666!!).

Derby have conceded 10 goals in their last five league games - they had conceded just three across their previous 14 matches.

Crisis? pfft!

Things to discuss:-
* Bradley Wiggins, did he cross the 'ethical line'
* How fast could Sir Roger Bannister have gone with modern footwear, tracks and training?
* Were you reassured by Teresa May's Brexit speech?

Team news from ...er Mojaca - he wasnt here on Saturday and neither was Ang (not paid his broadband bill) which contributed to the paucity of the comments during the Fulham game.

Derby County: Carson, Wisdom, Keogh (C), Davies, Forsyth; Huddlestone, Ledley; Weimann, Palmer, Lawrence; Nugent

Substitutes: Roos, Anya, Johnson, Pearce, Vydra, Hanson, Jerome

Griff, Ince was never lazy, or Martin or Lawrence. That is just fan talk. Players if they have any sense don't chase lost causes as it uses up energy they could use if a real chance occurs.

I criticise Nugent because no one else seems to recognise how profligate he has been with really good chances this season. Are you saying he hasn't.

I also don't believe Lawrence bottled a chance of scoring. Footballers love to score. He may have totally failed to take his chance but I doubt it was through fear. It's another fan myth. I remember criticism of players who turn their backs on shots but all players do it as it is a reflex action.

Spart he bottled the chance last night. My dad went mental. You needed to be there to see it. I can see why wales aren’t going to Russia this summer if he’s vital to their squad. Lawerance is lazy full stop. He leaves Forsyth isolated. I just don’t see any work ethic from him. He has the potential but maybe just a bad big time Charlie attitude.
Last night the ball was there to head and goal and he turns his back and it hit him on the back of the neck. That’s bottling it pal.

Lawerance will be in the team on Sunday at Forest. He needs to step up, man up, be counted and put a shift in. It’s not hard if you have the right attitude.

You see a different player to me Griff. Seems to do the right amount of running for a player in that position. I am concerned about Lawrence's lack of composure when he gets a chance. He should have scored more from the chances he has had. His attitude appears fine to me, just his ability to convert chances, same as Nugent, but apparently it's a taboo subject to say Nugent misses chances.

...Are you the same Spart who is dismissing the opinion of others on alternative threads because they weren't at matches, but here are arguing with Home and Away supporter Griff about an incident in a match you didn't attend?

666, no I'm not, again you fail to comprehend your native language. Why not enrol in night school for a GCSE in English, it could help you in your career.

Not defending Laurence for a minute but GR has stated he has the most assists in the team of any player? Isn’t he a no.10 anyway and not a winger?..

Griff, who went to the match "Lawrence bottled it"
Spart, who didn't go to the match "I don't believe you"

Righto, Thicko

Can Baird do a job in that position?

Could Hanson do the job in that position?

Rowett sticks to 4-2-3-1 but that’s not working because we are conceding at an alarming rate
