City need 13 more points from 15 available to get to 100. 4 wins and a draw will do. The rest of their fixtures are as easy as they come for a team at the top. With no other competition to focus on and title won, this next stage will give them a good target to go for. Pep's Barca were also the first to hit 100 points in La Liga. To become the first in England to ever do it will be even better. Liverpool back in 78-79 season had 30 wins and 6 draws, which in today's 3 point system would be 98 points (68 points actual). Chelsea of course under Mourinho first spell hold the record with most points, with 95.
Despite going out of CL in a pretty embarrassing way, and spending shed load of money, Pep will have left his legacy this season if they can hit 100. The form in first half of the season was just out of this world. But from next season, they should prepare better for second half of the season if they want to do well in CL. They have the squad and really the CL campaign is a black spot in an otherwise stellar season. Fergie even said so himself that he'd always make sure his team peaked in 2nd part of the season and it showed.
100 points

We won the title this very weekend in 2000/01 season. So as long as we don't lose at home to WBA tomorrow, then that's one record they won't be getting. We also finished 18pts ahead of 2nd that season. Hopefully another record they won't be getting off us.
They are a very good side though and deserving champions.

Pep’s Barca never got 100 points. Mourinho’s Madrid were the first to do it. Tito’s Barca the only other. Conte’s Juve got 102. Can’t think of any other team in a big league to get 100 points. If City do it it will be a remarkable achievement.

That's the least important, if the games had been in a different order we could have won it 2 weeks ago.
The other stats are cold hard facts.

Looking at City's fixtures: if they felt like it, they could finish with a better goal difference than man utd's points tally

Yeah what is Boris on about. In fact Man City were lucky they had the chance to beat us to break the record the earliest time they could have won it
