Charly Musonda

Brendan appeared quite ambivalent at his presser yesterday (see quotes below) about the prospect of Chelsea recalling Charly due to lack of game time. What's the feeling on here amongst the Celtic posters? - should we cut our losses now or see how he does next season? There is definitely talent there but he still looks awfully frail. It's disappointing what has happened since February, as we all had high hopes for him

I have also posted this on the Chelsea board, if any Blues posters want to comment

Reports from London hint last season’s Premier League champions are unhappy at the midfielder’s lack of action and are considering recalling the 21-year-old next month.

Rodgers said: “They may well do. There is an agreement in place which is fairly relaxed.

“He’s probably not played as much as he would have liked, but there are obviously reasons for that.

“I’ll always bring players to develop them and, in the main, it’s normally what happens when they are in my environment.

“At times, there are things off the pitch that people won’t understand. It’s difficult for players when they move to different cities and areas. Everything can be tough.

“I think if you’d seen Charly last week when we won, he was happy.

“I haven’t heard anything, but every club when they send a player out understand that the player goes to play as many games as they can.

“If you look at ourselves, it’s been difficult for Charly, but equally, it’s been difficult for Patrick Roberts since he’s been out, young Odsonne Edouard has come in from PSG. Gradually, they work themselves through.

“I have Mark Hill on loan at St Mirren. He’s hardly kicked a ball, but I understand.

“I’m pretty relaxed as a manager. I send them to the club where I think they can develop and improve.

‘I sent Ryan Christie to Aberdeen and he’s done great, earned his right to play.

“Mark has gone to a team that was winning. He hasn’t played as much, but he will have learned. That’s how management works."

Spot on, Zach - if the lad's not going to play (and I wouldn't select him before Rogic, Forrest, McGregor or Roberts) then he needs to go somewhere else. If he ends up being a superstar, so be it. Either way, I wish him well

Would like to have seen what he can do as he reminds me of Roberts when he first joined before Rodgers made him the player that he is today.

Did someone bad mouth anything Celtic? Oooft rookie mistake

GB Elite - your patter is boring and monotonous pash. If your only response is to have a personal attack on me, then it shows you have lost the argument. Also - if you actually read my posts, you'll see I regularly criticise Celtic when it is deserved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t make any personal attack..... show me where this attack is?

This happens regularly on here. I post something broadly defending Celtic's approach on a particular issue (you're never there when I post something critical). And then you post something along the lines of

Did someone bad mouth anything Celtic? Oooft rookie mistake

This has happened a few times, always after I post, and, every time I challenge it, you back down. At least have the balls to admit that you're having a dig

Back down??? 😂😂😂😂😂 from what? You still haven’t shown where I have launched this personal attack on you... wow, I like to make a wee joke on how you always jump in to defend all things Celtic... not like I actually said anything bad ffs, grow a set

And anyway, you do defend all things Celtic so if I want to make a joke on the subject... I’m gonna make a joke on the subject.... hardly dramatic on the scale of some things that happen on here ffs

Good. At least now - unlike the previous occasions when I called you out - you admit that you made a snide wee "happy clapper" joke at my expense on the matter, That is fine - and it is your prerogative on this board to do so .

It is also my prerogative to say that such an approach to "humour" is unfunny and repetitive pash. Especially when the only time you seem to engage with me on here is to make your cheap little jibes, ignoring the times when I post criticism of the club/team/manager (not that often, I accept, but in case you hadn't noticed, we are doing rather well).

You're entitled to your opinion, as I am mine - let's just leave it at that
