Personally I'm all for the changes voted in, we go from playing football, to transfers, to playing football again. As long as there are hack journalists with deadlines to meet silly season will always exist to a degree, but that month or so between the season finishing and the transfer window opening was always particularly painful.
Anyway, on to City... The key for us is to keep moving, when we've won the Premier League previously we have paid the price, twice, for standing still in the transfer market after lifting the trophy - firstly after 11/12 by signing the likes of Jack Rodwell, Scott Sinclair, and Javi Garcia, then following 13/14 with Fernando, Bony and Mangala. Although the squad only needs some fine tuning, our rivals, even Spurs, are undoubtedly going to try and bridge the gap this summer, and despite our dominance in the league there are still some pretty obvious weaknesses.
Striker
Starting at the top - Aguero again missing key games this season, with Jesus out at times too, the latter looking very patchy when returning recently (as you'd expect from a 19 year old) - I'm not convinced he's ready to have that much pressure on him when Aguero is out, but is there a decent enough option out there who'd be happy to play third fiddle? Many fans talking about the lack of a "Dzeko" in the current squad. And although such a player wouldn't be thought of as 'classic Pep', if Kyle Walker persists in hitting those high balls in to our 5ft front line then maybe a player in Edin's mould wouldn't be such a bad option!
Winger
Sane and Sterling have both had incredible seasons to look back on, but both are also guilty of blowing hot and cold, as young players do. The pressure, particularly on Sane, to produce something special in games like the Liverpool Champions League legs was immense for someone of that age. I actually think Bernardo Silva has been tragically underused, but with his future lying in central midfield is there a need for a player who can cover both wings? I'm not convinced myself, especially as Diaz hopefully starts to get more games, but it is an area that needs looking at in terms of how we provide cover for Leroy and Raheem when their form dips.
DM
Fernandinho, despite another season of high level consistency, is getting no younger, and it doesn't surprise me that a long term replacement is the main point of discussion in the press. 100% expect us to make a move to strengthen this area.
FBs
Another area of contention - personally I think Mendy as first choice with Delph filling in the gaps is more than adequate at LB, as long as they are each used in the right games. For me it's more the RB position, not convinced by Danilo. Certainly not areas in such dire need of attention as they were over recent years though.
GK
Bravo still not cutting it, even in the final two games where there was virtually no pressure on the team he was giving me the heebie jeebies. Anyone been following Angus Gunn's loan move? I'd 100% rather it was a youngster making the odd mistake than a 35 year old.
So for me, 2nd or 3rd choice striker, DM, and a 2nd choice GK would be some key areas to look at... And when you list it like that there are shades of Summer 2012 / 2014 already

Mr Bstard seems indifferent
Pep said one or two additions,so cover for Aguero and Jesus and a midfielder to cover for Fernandinho, unless more players move on
Lets hope the scouts have the right players lined up

Baz is alright. Just a bit wary of which world class talent Mourinho will ruin next year I think 😜

I certainly get the need for a third striker, particularly a taller one as we have, especially when Bernardo plays on the wing, the ability to put a cross to the edge of the 6 yard box rather than the edge of row T. Backup to Fernandinho is essential but in addition maybe if Toby A is unwanted at Spurs he could be got for £25m if Pep wants to play 3 at the back. I'm sorry for Bravo but the last 2 games have confirmed that he needs to go and a replacement back up keeper is needed.
Foden and Diaz should be fully fledged members of the squad next season, Jesus was pretty much the same age when he joined.

I get a bit bored of the nonsense, and the stupidity of some of our signings. Be glad when this summer is all over...World Cup shall be exciting though

My problem is the window difference between the end of our and the continents window. If a club comes in for a player from the continent, say Barca or RM for Kane, Aguero, Salah offering a player plus cash exchange in theory you could sell the player but only for cash and would be unable to replace that player.
Simple answer is don't sell but its difficult to resist a player like the Tevez situation say forcing the issue

Mendy coming back will normally mean 2 up front.
With Agüero's injury record, we will need a longer term replacement for him.
A pre-injury Negredo would be ace.

I think Danilo was looking ok at RB. Much less comfortable at LB. I notice we've sold Pablo Maffeo.

Some bloke called Mario Balotelli or something is available on a free. Worth a punt?
